Course Description

Orofacial trauma has become more common with the increasing popularity of cycling and use of Personal Mobility Devices (PMD). The possible injuries sustained in such personal accidents include:

-soft tissue lacerations

-fractures and displacement of teeth

-fractures of the alveolus or jaws

Proper diagnosis and appropriate management of these injuries are crucial to prevent long term complications for the patients.

This course, comprising of both lectures and hands-on training, is planned, to give the attendees in-depth knowledge for the effective management of common traumatic injuries. The course will also instruct on the usage of Medisave and Insurance claims for the injuries.
